Exploration of Interaction between WCT and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)**
WalletConnect is studying the interaction possibilities between WCT and CBDC, testing WCT as an intermediary layer to connect CBDCs like the digital yuan with dApps. For example, when users purchase NFTs with digital yuan through the protocol, a small amount of WCT is required as a connection fee. Currently, technical integration testing has been completed with a certain central bank digital currency research institute. If progress goes smoothly, WCT may become the first token to connect CBDC with the Web3 ecosystem, opening up unprecedented application space.
