Why do many traders continue despite losing money?

Many traders lose a lot of money but do not give up, mainly for two reasons: unwillingness to accept defeat and lack of alternatives.

Some people have lost their hard-earned savings, which represent years of struggle. Sometimes it feels like a dream, as if they inexplicably lost all their money. Many traders believe it’s just bad luck and are convinced they can earn it back.

For others, the lost money isn’t theirs, such as credit card debt, online loans, or borrowed funds, and after years of working, they still can’t repay it, so they have to take a chance with trading.

However, both of these mindsets are unhealthy and can lead to a deeper abyss. Trading should be a way to enhance one’s life, not a last resort. Otherwise, the mindset becomes distorted, and everything will go awry.
