🔥🔥🔥Unknowingly, I have been in this industry for over ten years.
I am 31 years old this year, looking back, when I first entered the field in 2014, I only had 60,000 yuan, and it wasn't even mine; it was borrowed. At that time, I had no experience, no confidence, and lacked foundation.
Now my account has surpassed eight figures, and I can't quite say I'm happy; it's more of a complex emotion. The money I made along the way wasn't fast, nor was it due to favorable conditions; it was achieved through repeatedly stepping into pitfalls, summarizing lessons, and slowly climbing out.
On this trading journey, I have tried almost every style: long-term, short-term, ultra-short, intraday swings... I have experienced each style. It might not be appropriate to call myself an expert, but when it comes to “losing money,” I believe I see it more clearly than many others.
Over the years, I have seen too many people build tall buildings and too many tall buildings collapse instantly. Turning tens of thousands into millions, only to see it all wiped out in a round of drawdown. Is it due to poor skills? Actually, no. The problem lies in two words: habits.
Habits of holding onto positions, habits of adding to positions, habits of treating a stroke of luck as a rule. Once luck is gone and bullets run out, the fall will lead to a total wipeout, with no second chance.
There is also a more common trap: losing control of emotions.
Once you lose money, you panic; when you panic, you operate chaotically, and the more you try to recover, the faster you lose. The destructiveness of this mindset is even greater than poor skills.
I am not without emotions, nor do I never make mistakes, but I am very clear about one thing: the market will not move according to your wishes.
It’s not that you think it should rise, so it must rise; it’s not that you believe it’s a trap, so it has to fall.
If you’re wrong, you should leave. Not hold on.
This industry is actually not that complicated; what truly determines whether you can go far is not whether you have “faith,” but whether you have rules. What many people call “faith” is actually just a gambler's mentality that covers fear.
I currently have assets exceeding ten million, not because I am smarter, but because I have adhered to a few simple principles for a long time:
Admit mistakes when wrong, set stop losses
When emotions run high, turn off the computer
Make decisions calmly, do not rely on feelings to operate
Ultimately, what earns money in this industry is execution, not inspiration.
If you can turn off your emotions and establish rules, even if your starting point is only ten thousand yuan, the opportunity for a comeback will always be there.
