In 2025, public companies began adopting Ethereum $ETH as a strategic asset within their financial reserves, after managing to purchase over 1% of the total supply since June alone, equivalent to approximately 1.26–2.33 million $ETH worth between 9 to 10 billion dollars.
Key players in the ETH technology race:
• BitMine Immersion Technologies leads the way with about 625,000 ETH (valued at over 2 billion dollars), and plans to reach 5% of the total supply through a billion-dollar stock buyback program.
• SharpLink Gaming owns nearly 438,000 $ETH (equivalent to about 1.7 billion dollars), after a massive purchase of 77,210 ETH earlier in July 2025 .
• Other companies like Bit Digital (around 120,000 ETH) and BTCS Inc. (around 55–70k ETH) and also Coinbase which holds 137,300 ETH as part of its operational activities and institutional staking services.
