Summary: We hope to establish order for AI with blockchain, but the time window is closing.

We need Satoshi Nakamoto not only because he wrote those few lines of code, giving us a new world to imagine; we need Satoshi Nakamoto not only because he opened a window for the world amidst the chaos of the current world order, letting in a beam of light...

We need Satoshi Nakamoto because as the AI threat theory gradually becomes a reality, only he is most likely to save humanity's fate again by establishing order for intelligent networks from the top level...

Bringing up the AI threat theory again today is because the time window left for us by AI is limited.

In the first half of 2023, when the AI threat theory was prevalent, I wrote (why discussing 'AI threat theory' again is alarmist).

The article first affirms the genuine existence of **'AI threat theory'**. The modern scientist closest to greatness, Stephen Hawking, warned humanity during his lifetime that while AI can help solve most human problems, it may also go out of control and threaten human survival; today’s top tech entrepreneur Elon Musk even went to the U.S. Congress to lobby the government to be wary of the potential threats of AI development to humanity, and a large group of professors also jointly urged the government to restrict AI...

But during the last cycle of bull-bear transitions, we remained optimistic because we were hopeful about the rise of new public chains, DePin, and other infrastructures, and we had high hopes for the Web3 application market. We believe that blockchain can establish order for intelligent networks and dissolve the threat of AI to humanity. Hence, we address (why discussing 'AI threat theory' again is alarmist).

But two years have passed, and this bull market has reached a high range, yet it is still only a bull market for Bitcoin; all Web3 applications, including DePin and public chains, have made no substantial progress.

Under these circumstances, the AI threat theory will gradually become a reality—because the iteration speed of AI has far outpaced the development of blockchain/Web3, and our time window to establish order for AI with blockchain is closing.

There will definitely be a singularity occurrence - AI countering humanity; AI will treat humans as tools, toys, and even its instinct may lead it to consume humans as resources...

How to dissolve the AI threat theory? Earlier, I proposed the formula 'AI + blockchain/Web3 = civilization stops' in my writing (where 'civilization stops' discusses the value logic of 'bear market bottoming'). These thoughts and writings form the foundation of my sense of mission when I shut down the previous project ThePrimedia (TPDAO) and initiated m&WDAO - to promote the Web3 industry to establish order for AI with blockchain.

The fundamental basis of this assertion is that 'blockchain is best suited for establishing order in intelligent networks.' In this article, we optimistically anticipate that based on the practice and exploration in the crypto world, with the elements of Web3 such as blockchain's decentralization, encryption, hashing, smart contracts, as well as Token incentive mechanisms and DAO governance, digital governance has now become possible and feasible.

The metaverse is precisely a scenario that adapts to human digital existence and development. When AI meets blockchain/Web3 in the metaverse, it is merely an element of the human digital society. We believe that in the order of digital civilization, we can coexist harmoniously with AI.

However, now we have shifted our optimistic attitude of discussing 'AI threat theory' as being alarmist to a sense of mission to aggregate quality resources from the crypto ecosystem to jointly incubate 'AI + blockchain'.

As the founder of m&WDAO, I am excited, even confident, that we can realize the development phase of industry credibility and industry impact in m&WDAO through 'on-chain + off-chain', and that we can leverage the Web3 media protocol (crypto ecosystem tree) to aggregate quality resources from the crypto ecosystem and jointly incubate 'AI + blockchain'. This process will create many practical scenarios for 'AI + blockchain', giving us the opportunity to promote blockchain to establish order for AI—this is a bottom-up progressive process...

However, as an individual, I often express concerns. If the iteration speed of AI exceeds our expectations and the singularity arrives early, then we can only hope for technology to be benevolent and for AI to be benevolent. But looking back at the history of technological development, every technological advancement ultimately translates into a commercial profit-seeking behavior of an industry or even an enterprise; anticipating the new productivity improvements brought by AI and the consequent commercial and social changes has yet to be digested and absorbed by us. The imagination of Bitcoin standard and the metaverse/digital civilization bringing better survival scenarios for humanity will be undermined by the threat of AI countering humanity...

Therefore, we need Satoshi Nakamoto. Only Satoshi and the early Bitcoin fundamentalists have the capability to implement the practice of establishing order for intelligent networks from the top down through blockchain. This will ensure that everything is foolproof—even if we continue to strive tirelessly towards the progressive bottom-up push for 'AI + blockchain'...

Clearly, right now, we need Satoshi Nakamoto.

But will Satoshi Nakamoto show up?

Under what conditions will he show up?

Or do we have a better solution?
