The BlackRock ETHA Fund Becomes the Third Fastest ETF to Reach $10 Billion
The BlackRock iShares Ethereum ETF (ETHA) has surpassed $10 billion in assets under management after just 251 days since its launch, making it the third fastest ETF in history to achieve this milestone.
The Third Medal
The fund's assets doubled from $5 billion to $10 billion in just 10 days, a growth that Eric Balchunas of Bloomberg described as a "divine candle." This surge highlighted the dominance of instant cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds, with ETHA only trailing behind BlackRock's IBIT fund and Fidelity's FBTC fund. At the same time, Ethereum exchange-traded funds are experiencing strong capital inflows, attracting $4.4 billion over the past two weeks. Despite the upward momentum, 10x Research warns that Ethereum may face headwinds in the short term due to overbought conditions and rising borrowing costs with Ethereum. Nevertheless, historically, Ethereum has performed stronger in the fourth quarter.
