#ArancelesTrump 🚨🔥Trump's tariffs bleed the biggest names in Europe for hundreds of millions of euros

European companies are racking up massive losses as President Donald Trump moves forward with a 30% tariff on everything shipped to the U.S. from the European Union starting August 1.

These penalties are already crushing results, even before the full tariffs take effect. European officials are deep in talks with the White House, trying to stop the damage. But for now, losses continue to grow.

Automakers have suffered the biggest blow. Trump began imposing a 25% tariff on cars and parts made abroad in April. This raised the total U.S. tariffs on EU vehicles to 27.5%, with a new increase to 30% approaching next month.

On Friday, Volkswagen said it has already consumed 1.3 billion euros ($1.53 billion) in additional costs just in the first half of 2025. The company saw its second-quarter operating profit fall and has now cut its projections for the full year. The plan on the table: begin manufacturing Audi cars in the U.S. to avoid future charges.
