Ethena (ENA) rose 5% on Thursday after partnering with Anchorage Digital to offer its USDtb stablecoin in the US.

In a Thursday news release, Anchorage Digital announced a cooperation with Ethena to issue the USDtb stablecoin in the US.
The parties claim that USDtb will become the first legally compliant US Dollar-pegged cryptocurrency since President Trump approved the GENIUS law on Friday. The "turnkey solution" for institutions to develop regulated, USD-backed digital assets, Anchorage Digital's platform, will be used for stablecoins for the first time.
"The GENIUS Act clarifies regulations so federally regulated institutions like Anchorage Digital Bank may engage in the stablecoin ecosystem. "We're proud to help Ethena bring their product to the US," stated Anchorage Digital CEO and Co-Founder Nathan McCauley in the news release.
Anchorage Digital Bank, the first crypto-native financial institution with a US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency license, will introduce USDtb under the new arrangement.
As bitcoin gains popularity in the US, Ripple, Circle, and BitGo have filed for OCC national trust bank licensing to join Anchorage Digital. If authorized, firms may provide more financial services.
Top financial companies including J.P. Morgan, Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup are demanding stablecoins. These companies' executives have announced stablecoin ambitions.
At publication, CoinMarketcap reports a $270.4 billion stablecoin market value. Many experts expect stablecoins to reach $2 trillion by 2028.
