Trump wants to remove all restrictions on the development of AI in the US
The head of the White House for AI and cryptocurrencies David Sachs presented an ambitious plan to deregulate the AI industry:
- Only "unbiassed" neural networks without ideological filtering will be able to participate in public procurement.
- Most of the barriers for startups will be removed, access to GPUs and land for data centres will be simplified.
- Research funding and infrastructure construction are prioritised.
- Control over chips will be strengthened, exports will be restricted, and allies will be offered access to the AI "stack".
- The rules of Biden's time have been cancelled.
Recall that in January, Trump announced the allocation of $500 billion for the development of AI infrastructure in the United States.
