❗️King Philippe of Belgium condemned the situation in Gaza as a "shame for humanity" during a speech on the eve of the country's national day.

"I add my voice to all those who denounce the serious humanitarian abuses in Gaza, where innocent people are dying of hunger and being killed by bombs while trapped in their enclaves," he said in statements from his palace in Brussels.

"The current situation has lasted too long. It is a shame for all of humanity. We support the call of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to immediately end this unbearable crisis."
