The CEO of Tether, Paolo Ardoino, stated that Tether has announced part of its investment/VC portfolio. Overall, Tether has invested in more than 120 companies, and this number is expected to increase significantly in the months and years to come. The companies it has invested in include Juventus, Bitdeer, Crystal Intelligence, Rumble, Shiga Digital, etc. All these investments come from Tether's profits ($137 billion in 2024) and do not pertain to the reserve assets of USDT (as well as other stablecoins), which belong to Tether's investment department. The focus is on key areas such as payment infrastructure, renewable energy, Bitcoin, agriculture, artificial intelligence, and tokenization.
