Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder and former CEO of Binance, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that "FOMO season is coming," referencing the rising Altcoin Seasonal Index now featured on CoinMarketCap.

While CZ noted that the accuracy of the index is still uncertain, he emphasized that the indicator is indeed trending upward, reflecting growing market excitement for altcoins. The Altcoin Seasonal Index measures how many top cryptocurrencies have outperformed Bitcoin (BTC) over the past 90 days—often used as a signal for the start of altseason.

“There’s a seasonal index function for altcoins on CoinMarketCap. Not sure how accurate it is, but it is indeed rising. FOMO season is coming,” CZ wrote.
