Removing the risk label implies moving these assets to a higher trust category.

Following Binance's announcement, the news has not yet positively impacted the three memecoins.

On July 21, Binance removed the risk label (seed tag, in English) from three of the largest market capitalization memecoins, namely Pepe (PEPE), Bonk (BONK), and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU).

The label 'seed', applied by the exchange to projects in early stages with high volatility and risk, serves as a warning to users. Its removal indicates that these assets have met the platform's internal criteria, moving them from a high-risk category to one of greater trust.

Among some of the criteria reviewed by Binance are 'the team's commitment to the project, level and quality of development activity, and trading volume and liquidity', according to the announcement.

$PEPE originated in Ethereum, ranks third in market capitalization among all memecoins with nearly $6 billion, only behind $Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIBA). This token, inspired by an internet meme, is currently trading at $0.000014, with a 13% increase in the last seven days, as seen in the following image:

On the other hand, BONK and PENGU, both created on the Solana network, rank fourth and fifth, with capitalizations of $2.8 billion and $2.3 billion, respectively. Their current prices are $0.000035 for BONK and $0.03 for PENGU, showing increases of 29% and 31% in the last week.

Although the removal of the risk label could positively influence investors' perception and further boost the price of these coins, that effect has not yet occurred following Binance's announcement.

PEPE and PENGU fell by 0.51% and 2.42% respectively in the last 24 hours, while BONK is the only one of these three memecoins that at the time of this writing shows a slight increase in that period, in its case by 0.38%. $PENGU $BONK
