This proposal presents a redesigned model for WCT deposits 📲 with:
• 🔁 Permanent deposit
• 🧑💻 Openings initiated by the user
• 🗓️ Separate duration options
🎯 Goal: Simpler and more predictable deposits.

🔁 Permanent deposit positions
Once you deposit WCT, it retains its full weight until the user decides to withdraw the deposit. There is no time decay, and no need to update.
This provides a "set it and forget it" deposit experience. 🛋️
🔓 Open period initiated by the user
Users can start the deposit opening period whenever they decide to end their position.
When activated, the weight of the stake will decrease linearly over the specified opening duration, and when it ends, the position becomes fully withdrawable. 📉⏳
📆 Separate duration options
Instead of choosing any random duration, you can choose from clear and fixed options:
4, 8, 12, 26, 52, 78, or 104 weeks.
This enables users to better understand the impact of staking options and compare rewards between choices. 📊
🧩 Preserving options
We understand that some users may prefer the original behavior (i.e., decay starting from the creation of the position).
And to consider that:
✅ You will still be able to initiate an opening immediately, as before.
🙌 Nothing will be removed - just more options.
What will happen to current stakers?
If you are already staking, there is nothing you need to do.
Your position will continue to open as before.
🔄 You will not be automatically transitioned to the new model.
However, if you want to opt into the new system and make your stake permanent, you can reinstate your stake after the contract update.
