【SOL Holding Interest Experience: The Price Has Risen, and the Coin is Still Earning Interest】
Originally, buying a coin in spot trading would only mean holding it and enjoying the price increase, but now after I buy in, I can throw it into a flexible wealth management product. Although the returns are not high, it's free gains. For example, a while ago, I was brushing up on Binance ALPHA points, and since I needed to have more than $10,000 in my account, I transferred $10,000 worth of ATOM in, put it into flexible wealth management, and after a month, I earned dozens of dollars; it’s like getting the cost of a pack of cigarettes each day. Why not?
However, recently a better feature has been launched, which is holding interest.
I bought some SOL for $168, originally just intending to hold it long-term, and recently the price has risen to $195. Just the price increase makes me very happy. But even better, I have activated Binance's "holding interest" feature, allowing my SOL to no longer just lie in my account, but to automatically earn interest for me every day.
The annual percentage rate (APR) for SOL is currently around 1%. It doesn’t sound high, but it’s safe and passive; even if the market doesn’t move, I can still earn a little extra every day. Binance snapshots my spot account every day at 08:00 (UTC+8).
Through this experience, I've found that the biggest benefit of holding interest is that there’s no need to lock up the funds. Even if I want to sell or adjust my position at any time, I won’t be restricted. Plus, every day I check the 【Wealth Management History - Holding Interest】, watching the SOL price rise and the earnings details increase one by one, it really feels great. Even though it’s not much, it’s basically free rice pork.
This operation gives me the feeling that if you plan to hold quality coins long-term, then it’s worth activating the holding interest. If the price rises, you make a profit; if it doesn’t, you can still get some "interest," which is double the benefit.
If you are a spot holder, you can try out the holding interest; it currently only supports certain coins, so if you happen to hold some, you can throw it into wealth management.
