Recently, a large number of AI-generated matrix accounts have appeared on social media platform Threads, discussing finance, cryptocurrency, and politics. They attract attention with conspiracy theories, but the rhetoric behind it is entirely fabricated. Even more frightening is that these matrix accounts all lead to the 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station', raising suspicions that this is a planned money laundering operation.

A large number of matrix accounts directing traffic to the illegal cash exchange group 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station'

Taking @sincerekulas2025 (Lin Coin Zhen) as an example, this account has 1,729 followers on the Threads platform, including industry insiders. First, the profile picture is clearly AI-generated, and the content of the posts mostly follows the sentence pattern of 'You think..., but in fact...'. The content mainly discusses finance and cryptocurrency. The tone of the articles guides events towards conspiracy theories, trying to use sensational text to shape the viewpoint of being insightful into the truth behind matters.

The same accounts also include @katimoharami987e, @emma154watsokm1, @lilapooryayo0864, @6brdb7ryn5g, etc. A key common point of these accounts is that they all direct traffic to a Telegram group called 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station'. These accounts are commonly known as 'matrix accounts', and in reality, they are all operated by the same group of people.

Additionally, these accounts are also targeting the regulatory developments in Taiwan, especially regarding exchanges. For example, [Taiwan exchanges fined 3.02 million, is it just on the surface? The real 'cleanup order' has long been arranged] and [You think this is anti-fraud? In fact, the era of financial data lockdown has arrived] both use Taiwan's regulation and exchange topics, fitting into the above template to produce conspiracy theory-themed articles. Even the news of Binance's CEO Richard visiting Taiwan to participate in public meetings can be manipulated, prompting a personal response from Binance's official.

Four elements to quickly identify cash exchange matrix accounts

The reason this batch of matrix accounts targets Taiwan exchanges and makes a fuss about regulatory messages is that the 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station' itself operates a 'cash to U' business. In other words, the reason for smearing the exchanges is that it is taking away their livelihood.

According to the latest update on the official website of the Securities and Futures Bureau, there are currently only 17 operators in Taiwan that can provide virtual asset services. After the Financial Supervisory Commission instructed that virtual asset services should use bank transfers and other methods that can leave a cash flow record, cash trading currency dealers are basically declared out of the game. Therefore, it can almost be determined that 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station' is an illegal currency dealer. After actually communicating with criminal police handling cryptocurrency fraud, it was learned that cash trading is the breakpoint for police to trace cash flow.

This reminds me of the previously exposed 'Chain Gold Investment Research Society', whose methods are almost identical, also directing traffic to cash exchange groups. What can be confirmed is that this kind of method will continue to appear. The simplest way is to search for the keyword 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station' on Threads, and you can find and block all accounts directing traffic to this group. Basically, recognizing four major elements: AI profile pictures, sensational text, directing traffic to Telegram groups, and conspiracy theories can help identify matrix accounts.

From the user's perspective, Taiwan exchanges at least have trust and know who the operators are. When exchanging with unlicensed currency dealers, there is a risk of exchanging for black U, and not knowing who the other party is significantly reduces safety.

This article reveals a large number of AI matrix accounts directing traffic to the 'Chain Sentiment Observation Station' for illegal cash exchanges for U. Binance's official response also emerged, first appearing in Chain News ABMedia.
