Crypto in Vietnam may be taxed: 0.1% on each transaction!
The Ministry of Finance has just proposed in the draft Revised Personal Income Tax Law:
→ All transactions of digital assets (including crypto, NFT, encrypted assets...) if carried out on transparent exchanges and regularly will be taxed 0.1% on each transfer – similar to current securities.
📌 Important highlights:
•Vietnam officially recognizes digital assets as legal assets for the first time, thanks to the Digital Technology Industry Law (effective from 1/1/2026).
•The 0.1% tax rate is just the initial step; the tax authorities may consider additional taxes in the future such as VAT, corporate income tax, and personal income tax.
What do you think, dear ones?
