According to a report by Decrypt on July 22, PANews reported that Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev acknowledged that the company's recent foray into offering tokenized stocks is quite controversial, but he remains steadfast in his determination to expand the initiative. Tenev stated, "Being one of the first companies to truly tokenize these companies is a significant milestone, and of course, whenever you are the first to do something interesting, there will always be some controversy. I actually don't care about the backlash from this controversy; the key is to deliver a product that is genuinely useful to customers, and I believe this launch has largely achieved that."
Tenev also stated that he is eager to advance Robinhood's tokenized stock initiative, and he recently indicated that the program could soon expand to thousands of private companies. He added, "The goal now is just to extend it to more companies and find a path to integrate the second and third phases of decentralized finance," referring to Robinhood's long-term plan to integrate its tokenized stock products with decentralized finance markets.
