Bitcoin makes me reflect again: people can never earn money beyond their understanding
In the year I graduated, I worked at an internet company. The girl sitting across from me was quiet and reserved, and she didn’t talk much. One day during lunch, she suddenly said to me, 'I’ve been researching Bitcoin lately, and I bought a dozen of them for just a few dozen bucks each.'
I almost laughed out loud at that moment, thinking, 'Are you playing a video game? Can you be a bit more realistic?'
Ten years have passed, and we have both entered different stages of life. I am still working hard at my job, progressing from the grassroots level to middle management, enduring overtime, job changes, and the ups and downs of the workplace. Now I have an apartment in Beijing and some stocks in my account, but I am still far from 'financial freedom.'
As for her, she remains quietly unassuming, but those dozen Bitcoins are now worth over ten million — and that’s just what I know on the surface.
Looking back, she wasn’t necessarily more diligent than I was, but ten years ago, she had a sense of trends, a judgment of the future, and the courage to do things that others couldn’t understand.
And I? I only knew to bury myself in hard work, never thinking about 'earning leveraged money through understanding.'
I finally understand that the essence of wealth is never just hard work; it is a complex product of understanding, perspective, risk awareness, and action.
In the second half of 2025, I have only one goal for myself:
To enhance my understanding, break out of habitual thinking, and make truly life-changing decisions.
Growth is a lifelong endeavor.
In the next decade, I don’t want to miss out again.
Let’s go! 💪!
