Ethereum $ETH ETF Staking Approval Timeline Pushed Further
According to Odaily, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart revealed on X that the approval process for Ethereum ETF staking applications is facing delays. Multiple institutions have already submitted proposals, but the review process is expected to take additional time. The deadline for early applications is now set for late October 2025, while BlackRock’s staking-focused ETH ETF application will likely be reviewed by April 2026. However, analysts believe that some approvals may come as early as Q4 2025. In the meantime, firms like VanEck, 21Shares, and Canary Capital are urging the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve applications on a first-come, first-served basis, rather than waiting to process all submissions together with BlackRock’s later filing. This growing pressure underscores the industry's push for fair and timely access to Ethereum staking opportunities through ETFs.
