Avalanche Subnets: Individual Blockchains

The concept of Subnets is one of the most powerful innovations of Avalanche and has gained widespread adoption by mid-2025. Subnets are customizable, independent blockchain networks that can be launched on top of Avalanche. Each subnet can have its own rules, fees, consensus mechanisms (even allowing the use of its own tokens as gas), and set of validators. This allows projects to create specialized blockchains optimized for their unique needs, whether they are private corporate chains, gaming blockchains, or networks for tokenizing real-world assets (RWA), significantly expanding the use cases of Avalanche. #AVAX $AVAX
