🧠 Major Trend Phases: How do the big players enter and exit the market without you noticing?
The primary trend in Dow Theory is not just an upward or downward line; it consists of 3 phases, each with a completely different mindset:
1. Accumulation Phase:
Here, the market is just coming out of a decline, and regular people are scared. The big investors (smart money) are quietly buying before the good news spreads.
2. Public Participation Phase:
The market starts to move strongly, positive news spreads, and people enter in droves. This is where we see the strongest rise, and it's the phase where everyone rushes to buy.
3. Distribution Phase:
The big players start to sell; the market is still rising a bit but slowly, and it begins to lose momentum. People continue to buy until the market collapses, while the big players have exited early.
Understanding these 3 phases helps you know when you are entering the market and with whom... and this makes a significant difference in profit and loss.
