Exposing a New Scam Here’s what happened, reposted for fans after seeing it on x.
The author spent 0.5sol to join his private group.
He first asked the author to use a trading bot he had never seen before and also required importing a wallet. The author complied but saw nothing. Then, he asked me to import the mnemonic phrase, but after importing, still saw no funds — at this point, the author already had a vague sense that something was wrong.
However, the author knew better and absolutely would not import a mnemonic phrase with funds. He saw that the author was unresponsive and said that there must be more than 2SOL in the wallet to display the balance, so the author transferred 0.1SOL in, but still saw nothing. As he kept urging to top it up to 2SOL, the author simply ignored him.
Just now, when the author asked him to refund the membership fee, he immediately transferred my 0.1SOL away without saying a word.
During this time, he also urged the author to participate in the private placement early. The author checked that address and found that no one had deposited any money, so the author didn’t dare to invest. Now thinking back, if someone had deposited money into it at that time, the author might have really followed and invested.
In the past, I always firmly believed that “if one is not greedy, one will not be scammed.” This time it was really not because of greed, but just wanting to improve the probability of winning in trading, and unexpectedly fell into a trap.
A total loss of 0.6sol, which isn’t too much, but I hope brothers keep their eyes open for this scam, because this author is very cautious, but a less cautious brother might have lost even more.
