๐ Trading Words Explained #11
๐ Stop Limit Order
๐ What is a Stop Limit Order?
Itโs a two-part order:
1๏ธโฃ A stop price triggers the order
2๏ธโฃ A limit price sets the maximum/minimum price youโre willing to buy/sell at
โ ๏ธ Unlike a stop market order, this wonโt execute unless the limit price is met โ so it gives you control but no guarantee of execution.
๐ก Perfect for avoiding slippage but risky in fast markets!
Example:
Set stop at $100, limit at $98 to sell $SOL.
If $SOL drops to $100, it triggers an order to sell, but only if it can sell at $98 or higher.
