The founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, regrets selling most of his XRP just weeks before the cryptocurrency hit new annual highs on Thursday.
He would have made millions and it makes me want to cry. I no longer have it, even though I was the leader of the XRP Army, Portnoy said in a video posted on X on Thursday.
His comments came shortly after XRP
surpassed its annual high of $3.29 and rose to $3.60, representing a gain of 19.61% in the last 24 hours at the time of publication, according to data from Nansen.
Dave Portnoy expresses his deep regret for having sold XRP at $2.40
I sold XRP when it rose to $2.40 because the guy who told me to buy it told me to sell it because he thought Circle would compete with them and he wasn't happy about it, Portnoy explained.
