After the Wall Street Journal's revelations, some prominent right-wing figures who had previously called for greater transparency from the U.S. government stepped forward to defend Trump and questioned the report.
Trump's loyal fan and far-right activist Laura Loomer had previously called for the U.S. government to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the handling of the Epstein files, and she claimed the letter was "completely fabricated." She wrote on the X platform: "Anyone who really knows President Trump knows that he doesn’t print letters. He writes notes with a large black marker."
Another influential MAGA figure, Charlie Kirk, posted on the X platform: "This is not at all Trump's speaking style. I don't believe it." (Source: CNN)
