A recent report about the cryptocurrency circle sparked discussions. In February, an overseas exchange agent was invited by a sub-agent to go to Ximen District in Taipei City to shoot a short video. However, it turned out to be a premeditated trap. After arriving at the agreed location, the agent was immediately surrounded by nine men in black. The men violently assaulted the agent and brandished knives and guns. In addition to forcing the victim to transfer all their virtual currency, they also detained the victim for up to a day. The victim accused these thugs of targeting the Taiwanese cryptocurrency circle and robbing multiple times while remaining at large.

The two incidents occurred a week apart, with total financial losses amounting to 13 million TWD.

The report indicated that on February 15 of this year, the victim was invited by a sub-agent (similar to a direct sales concept) to assist in filming a video in Ximen District. Upon arrival at the scene, nine men in black immediately surrounded the victim and the victim's wife. In addition to handcuffing the victim and restricting their movements, they also pulled out knives, physically assaulted the victim, and pointed a concealed firearm at them. The men demanded that the victim surrender all their assets, including virtual currency.

The victim stated that this gang first targeted the victim's friend, and after the victim's friend was harmed, they approached the victim reported in the news a week later. It is reported that the total amount of money involved in the two cases reached 13 million TWD.

The thugs acted ruthlessly and are already repeat offenders.

The gang's methods were brutal, continuously beating the victim on the head, causing the victim's head to hit the steel bars on the wall. As a result, the victim suffered severe head injuries and was sent to the hospital for stitches, with their eyesight nearly blinded. Ultimately, the victim was detained for a day and subjected to violence, as well as having private photos taken and used as threats by the thugs.

Even more frightening, the victim pointed out that this gang is already a repeat offender, using the same tactics to rob multiple different victims in the Taiwanese cryptocurrency circle but has not yet been caught. This incident occurred over five months ago, and despite reporting it to the police, the criminals remain at large.
