The WLFI token, the native cryptocurrency of World Liberty Financial, will become tradable following a community vote that had an overwhelming outcome. This could significantly increase the amount of cryptocurrency assets held by President Donald Trump.
The decision, which marks a turning point in the financial project related to Trump, occurred on Wednesday, July 16, when token holders overwhelmingly approved, with 99.94% of votes in favor, a proposal to unlock WLFI for trading.
This would open the doors to broader access for the community and the development of the protocol.
In May, for example, major holders of the TRUMPCOIN meme were invited to a gala dinner with the president. Among the guests was also the founder of Tron, Justin Sun.
