The U.S. House of Representatives voted on the "Digital Asset Market Clarity Act" (CLARITY Act), awaiting Senate approval.
Under the new regulatory framework proposed in the CLARITY Act, oversight of digital assets in the U.S. will be clearly divided between two main agencies:
🔹 Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC): will oversee currencies considered securities.
🔹 Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC): will oversee:
- Digital Commodities or fully decentralized currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum (provided they are not subject to the influence of a central entity).
- Any digital asset that is not considered a security
