#BTCWhaleTracker 🌔Attention Bitcoiners: An old whale awakens after 14 years and transfers 80,202 BTC

In an operation that lasted over three days, the wallet moved about 9.530 billion dollars; however, it had no direct impact on the price because the sale was conducted “over-the-counter.” Amidst tumultuous days in which the focus of the crypto world and the media was centered on “Crypto-Week,” which culminated with the approval of the three most important bills for the sector, the movement of 80,202 BTC from an old whale raised alarm among bitcoiners.

The wallet, which had remained inactive for more than 14 years, transferred the equivalent of about 9.350 billion dollars, representing an extraordinary return that multiplied the initial investment by 72,000 times. However, this large movement did not have a direct impact on the price of the leading cryptocurrency because the operation was carried out through an institutional partner – Galaxy Digital – and in an “over-the-counter” (OTC) manner; in addition, the transaction was carried out over three different days, which helped minimize its impact on the market.

This surprising maneuver adds to another similar one from early July, in which a whale from the “Satoshi era” transferred 80,000 bitcoins in a single day, setting a record for this type of operation in over ten years.
