I have noticed that many people confuse Pepe, Shiba Inu, and Dogecoin, thinking they are just memes. That’s why I decided to gather here some curiosities and interesting facts about these tokens that go beyond the memes, showing what really matters about each one:

Pepe (PEPE)

Pepecoin started as a meme inspired by 'Pepe the Frog' from the internet, but it hasn’t always had clear structure or purpose. Today, the community remains attentive to the growth of the Pepe ecosystem, especially as it is one of the most mentioned and traded memecoins, despite high volatility. What started as satire has transformed into a publicly traded giant.

Shiba Inu (SHIB)

Created in August 2020 by an anonymous developer named 'Ryoshi', SHIB initially had 1 quadrillion tokens. Half was sent to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who burned 90% and donated the rest to charity — a move that boosted the project's visibility and reduced the circulating supply to around 550 trillion. Today, the ecosystem includes DEX (ShibaSwap), LEASH and BONE tokens, and the Layer-2 Shibarium, along with social initiatives from the ShibArmy community.

Dogecoin (DOGE)

Created in 2013 as a joke by programmers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, Dogecoin quickly became a craze and had trading volume higher than any other cryptocurrency in January 2014. The symbol is inspired by a Shiba Inu dog named Kabosu, who passed away in 2024 at the age of 18, leaving a lasting cultural mark as the 'original meme'. The popularity of DOGE was amplified by tweets from Elon Musk and even by a space mission fully funded in DOGE (the DOGE-1 mission by SpaceX).
