#noticiascripto 🚨🔥Russian tech entrepreneur Pavel Durov and other sources have denied media reports that Telegram is establishing a branch in Russia.
The reactions follow the publication of several articles by Russian media linked to a registration entry for the popular messenger on the website of Russia's telecommunications regulator, Roskomnadzor.
Telegram allegedly establishing a presence in Russia
Telegram plans to create a representative office in Russia, local media reported, including the official news agency TASS. The Hi-Tech Mail website claimed to break the news on Thursday, which was then covered by other publications.
According to reports, the company intends to comply with the so-called "landing law" of Russia and has already met two of its requirements: opening an online account with Roskomnadzor, the media censor of Russia, and filling out an electronic feedback form.
The reports referred to a registration on the Roskomnadzor website, or the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.
