Macgregor called for the United States to stop supplying weapons to other countries in a post on social media X. He wrote: "A very reliable source told me that our missiles for defense and attack can last about eight days... We can fight for eight days in a war, after which we will have to use nuclear weapons." Macgregor also called for informing U.S. President Trump about the low level of missile stocks. In another post, he wrote: "I am not sure this has been reported to Trump. He should know how low our stocks really are."
