One of the main buyers of Ether in mid-July 2025 is the largest asset management company on Wall Street, BlackRock. Arkham noted that on July 16, its managers set a record by purchasing ETH from the market for $499.2 million. The total volume of Ethereum under BlackRock's control reached $6.94 billion. At the same time, the company aims to integrate functionality for earning from cryptocurrency staking into its Ethereum fund, the BlackRock iShares ETH ETF.
Another major buyer of ETH in mid-July was SharpLink Gaming (SBET). In the network, it was nicknamed MicroStrategy for ethers. Recall that MicroStrategy (Strategy) is the largest Bitcoin investor among public companies. The organization's shares mimic the movements of BTC prices. Participants in the crypto community took note of SharpLink Gaming's plans to buy nearly 1.5 billion Ethereum. Such an investment will make SBET one of the largest investors in the second most capitalized cryptocurrency.
