Prosecutors from the Southern District of New York informed Judge Katherine Failla that they plan to complete the presentation of evidence in the case of Roman Storm, co-founder of the Tornado Cash mixer, by July 25.

In four days of hearings, the prosecution has already called to the stand FBI personnel—a forensic accountant and a special agent who conducted a search of Storm's home in Seattle, as well as witnesses related to hackers who, according to the investigation, laundered funds through the service.

After the prosecution presents its case, Storm's defense will begin calling its own witnesses. In motions, the developer's attorneys stated that they would demonstrate the necessity of privacy tools like Tornado Cash to protect users from real threats. Meanwhile, prosecutors are asking to exclude testimony about abductions and torture.
