Deep Tide TechFlow News, on July 18, according to Decrypt, former professional football player Shane Donovan Moore was sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison for operating a fraudulent cryptocurrency mining scheme. From January 2021 to October 2022, Moore deceived more than 40 investors through Quantum Donovan LLC, defrauding them of over $900,000. He promised investors a daily 1% mining return, but actually used the funds for personal consumption such as purchasing luxury apartments, high-end goods, and electronics, while paying small returns to early investors in a Ponzi scheme to maintain the fraud.

Moore primarily targeted individuals within the football community in Washington, Utah, Oregon, Connecticut, and New Jersey, recruiting victims by leveraging personal trust relationships, resulting in losses exceeding $387,000. Judge Tana Lin specifically noted in the ruling that Moore caused emotional and psychological harm to the victims.
