July 16th will remain a historic date for Ethereum : spot ETFs raised $726 million in a single day, marking the largest net inflow since their approval. Data from SoSoValue suggests a real turning point, with renewed interest from traditional investors.

Thanks to this strong recovery, the cumulative total inflows rise to $6.48 billion . Leading the charge is cryptocurrency giant BlackRock , with its ETHA alone raking in nearly $500 million in 24 hours, reaching $7.73 billion and holding 1.9% of the entire Ethereum supply.

Fidelity also performed well , with €113 million in inflows, and even Grayscale which, despite the burden of redemptions, closed the day with a positive balance of €33 million.

ETH $ETH Stronger Than Bitcoin and Solana

The strong results from Spot ETFs come at a particularly positive time for Vitalik Buterin's digital currency. Ethereum surpassed $3,200 yesterday and closed the day above $3,340, up 6.8%, making it the best-performing asset among the major cryptocurrencies. Total trading volume on ETH spot ETFs reached $2.59 billion.

Open interest on futures also performed well: the total value of derivative contracts still open , i.e. not yet closed or settled, reached 45 billion, up 60% compared to the end of June.

Yield, Deflation, and the Future: The Trident Driving ETH

Jamie Elkaleh (Bitget Wallet) explained that this isn't just passing enthusiasm: “Ethereum is becoming the infrastructure for generating yield, with staking at 4-6% and an increasingly deflationary supply after EIP-1559.”

According to Elkaleh, BlackRock isn't speculating on the price of ETH, which is still low compared to its all-time highs, but is taking a position on what is considered the beating heart of on-chain finance. Spot Ethereum ETFs are no longer just speculative instruments, but a real bridge between the traditional world and the crypto ecosystem.

In short, confidence seems to have returned these days, even if some issues remain to be resolved, such as whether or not ETH can be considered a security, a question the SEC has not yet answered.
