Ethereum$ETH awakens the meme coin season
Some meme coins, including Floki Inu (FLOKI), Bonk Inu (BONK), and Fartcoin (FART), are showing double-digit growth. At the same time, others like PENGU and PUMP are losing positions.
FLOKI leads with a 40% increase, followed by BONK (+16%), Fartcoin (+18%), and PEPE (+5%). DOGE and SHIB grew by 7% and 4.5%, respectively. Meanwhile, PENGU and PUMP fell by 8% and 21%, according to CoinGecko.
The total market capitalization of meme coins has increased by 6%, approaching $80 billion.
On the CoinMarketCap altcoin season index, the altcoin trend is strengthening, indicating an active outflow of capital from the bitcoin market.
Capital rotation and the rise of meme coins signal the beginning of the altcoin season. According to TradingView, the market capitalization of altcoins has reached $1.42 trillion — a maximum since early February.
Investors see meme tokens as a profitable opportunity for speculation. When the altcoin market rises, meme coins typically respond first.
