Corporate Crypto Rebrand: SRM Becomes Tron Inc. with New $TRX /TRON Ticker
SRM Entertainment, Inc., a Florida-based company, has officially rebranded to Tron Inc. and will adopt “TRON” as its new Nasdaq ticker symbol, effective July 17, 2025. The move marks a strategic shift as the company pivots toward managing a treasury primarily composed of Tron (TRX) tokens, aligning itself with the growing corporate trend of integrating crypto assets into balance sheets.
The rebrand was announced on July 16, 2025, with the company confirming that its CUSIP number (85237B101) will remain unchanged. Tron Inc. claims to be the world’s largest publicly traded corporate holder of TRX, boasting holdings exceeding 365 million TRX tokens, valued at approximately $110.46 million based on current market rates.
This bold crypto-focused strategy has already paid off for shareholders. SRM shares have skyrocketed 1,270% year-to-date and are up over 55% in the past month since the treasury strategy was revealed.
Why the Shift to TRX?
CEO Rich Miller described the rebrand as a long-term value enhancement move, expressing strong conviction in TRX’s role in the future of global payments and financial infrastructure.
> “We believe that TRX will continue to play a critical role in building the next generation global payment rail and a more inclusive financial infrastructure, offering 24/7 low-cost and fast transaction capabilities,” Miller stated.
The decision mirrors strategies taken by companies like MicroStrategy but swaps Bitcoin for TRX. With TRX’s fast settlement speeds, low fees, and growing adoption in cross-border payments, Tron Inc. sees its treasury position as a strong bet on the future of decentralized finance.
A Hybrid Business Model
Interestingly, Tron Inc. is not solely a crypto play. The company continues to operate its wholly owned subsidiary that designs, develops, and manufactures custom merchandise, including toys and souvenirs for major global theme parks such as Walt Disney Parks, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Six Flags.
