The most subtle part of growth is not about what you change, but about how you make some people feel uneasy.
You may find that truly impressive people often find it easiest to appreciate those who are already strong, especially strangers.
It is a resonance from one height to another, unentangled with the past, devoid of personal grudges, just like looking at one mountain from another, leaving only respect.
But with familiar people around you, they are not so calm.
If you grow too fast, if your progress is too obvious, it will shake the original order in some people's hearts.
They are used to your former self and implicitly assume that you should stay on a certain axis.
When you start to rise, it breaks their preset notion of the world: "How could someone like you get there first?"
So, some begin to feel jealous, some watch coldly, and some say behind your back that you have changed, that you are floating, or that you are just lucky.
In fact, you have done nothing wrong. This is just the inevitable path of growth: at first, no one believes you, then some start to envy you, and next, some try to attack you.
Until one day, they have to acknowledge you and respect you, not because you provoked anyone.
It is your change that reminds them: they are still in place, while you are moving forward.
So don't be afraid, here, in this corner, there is a group of people just like you, quietly walking that unappreciated path.
They understand your silence and grit along the way and know that some paths are destined to be shouldered alone, but that doesn't mean you have to walk alone."
