DEA, FBI seizes 10 million USD in Crypto from Sinaloa drug cartel in Mexico
The Drug Enforcement Administration (#DEA ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States have seized over 10 million USD in cryptocurrency directly linked to the Sinaloa drug cartel in Mexico during operations in Miami, Florida.

According to the quarterly report from the U.S. Department of Justice, this case is part of a larger nationwide campaign that has recovered over 44 million fentanyl pills, more than 4,500 pounds of powdered fentanyl, and nearly 65,000 pounds of methamphetamine since January of this year.
This seizure highlights the increasing use of cryptocurrency by drug cartels for money laundering. The Sinaloa cartel has previously used hackers to track and kill informants for #FBI .
