Earlier, President Trump signed an executive order requiring all federal agencies to transfer their cryptocurrency assets to the Treasury Department to establish a strategic bitcoin reserve. Senator Cynthia Lummis warned that the U.S. selling off most of its bitcoins is a significant strategic mistake that will cause the U.S. to fall behind in the global bitcoin competition.
