Westpac Institutional Bank and Imperium Markets are collaborating with Chainlink on Project Acacia, a groundbreaking initiative by the Reserve Bank of Australia and DFCRC. This project uses the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) to enable secure and compliant Delivery vs. Payment (DvP) settlement of tokenized assets across blockchain platforms and the PayTo domestic payment system. The integration supports real-time, risk-free settlement and helps bridge traditional finance with digital assets. With tokenization projected to save over AUD $12 billion annually, Westpac sees this as a major step toward advancing wholesale market innovation through digital money, resilient infrastructure, and a strong regulatory framework.
