My parents didn’t believe in investing. They believed in surviving.

We didn’t talk about wealth. We talked about discounts, leftover dinners, and how to make rent on time. So now, as an adult, the idea of putting money into crypto — into anything that isn’t food or bills — feels rebellious. Like I’m doing something wrong.

But I’m starting to see it differently.

Investing doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means refusing to be stuck in it forever. It means trying. Even when it feels scary. Even when I’ve made bad calls before.

This is me, trying to break the cycle.
