Odaily Planet Daily News According to AXIOS, three informed sources revealed that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio spoke with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the UK yesterday, deciding to set the end of August as the actual deadline for reaching a nuclear agreement with Iran. If an agreement cannot be reached before the deadline, the three European powers plan to initiate the 'snapback' mechanism to automatically reimpose all sanctions lifted by the UN Security Council under the 2015 Iran agreement. Initiating the 'snapback' mechanism requires 30 days, and Europe hopes to complete this process before Russia assumes the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council in October.
