5 lessons that cost me a lot... and I wish someone had told me about them before my first deal
When I first started investing in cryptocurrencies, I was very excited... but I made some silly mistakes that I could have avoided if I had someone to guide me properly.
And here are 5 things I wish I had known before I put my first dollar in crypto:
1- Not every project with a nice website is an investment opportunity!
I learned the hard way that the Whitepaper and Roadmap are more important than the website's appearance or the number of followers on Twitter.
2- Quick profit = quick loss.
At first, I was looking for any currency that would soar in two days... and the result? I lost a lot from my portfolio in a week!
3- If you hear the phrase "You can't lose," run away!
Any project that sells you the illusion of guaranteed profit is likely a scam wrapped in a Web3 style.
4- Securing your wallet is more important than the purchase itself.
Don't click on fake links so you don't lose all your coins, and don't open any link unless you are 100% sure.
5- You don't have to jump on every trend.
Not every trend on Twitter or TikTok means "golden opportunity"... many times it is a trap for people who enter late.
If you're just starting in crypto, be patient, read well, and build your strategy slowly... there is no such thing as quick wealth.
