The U.S. Department of Justice has discontinued the investigation against Polymarket

Two investigations in the U.S. against the betting crypto exchange Polymarket, initiated during Biden's administration, have been closed.

Polymarket, which gained popularity during the elections, faced scrutiny after allegations that it was accepting bets from users in the U.S. despite previous bans. In November, the FBI conducted a search at founder Shane Kaplan's residence.

Polymarket may attempt to return to the U.S. market by registering as a futures exchange. It has also announced a partnership with X and xAI of Elon Musk and is leading a new investment round under the guidance of Peter Thiel's fund.
