The price of BTC skyrockets to a new record close to 19,500 dollars.
Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView showed that the BTC/USD pair reached 119,444 dollars on Bitstamp.
The pair surpassed its previous record from two days earlier by crossing the 119,000 dollar mark for the first time, liquidating short positions in the process.
The latest data from the monitoring resource CoinGlass places BTC's short position liquidations at over 20 million dollars in a single hour. "Next week is going to be interesting. We have many large liquidity groups above and below the current price. We just cleared a good group in the region of over 119,000 dollars," reacted popular trader Daan Crypto Trades in a post on X.
