Inflation data was just released, and the result is higher than expected.
We have a Federal meeting at the end of this month, and it is expected that the Fed will not lower interest rates as long as inflation has not reached its announced target.
Forget about Trump's statements every two minutes; the desired rise has been achieved.
We are now talking about a state of institutions, not a banana republic controlled by one person; economic decisions are based on data and indicators, not political whims.
The Fed fully understands that rushing to lower interest rates could repeat the mistakes of the past, specifically the 1970s crisis.
From my perspective, and God knows best, I believe the U.S. Fed will exercise patience in lowering interest rates at this time, and thus high interest rates will remain elevated for a longer period according to its current policy of Higher for longer until the next meeting in September, then we will have more to discuss.
