Ethereum has solidly broken the symbolic barrier of $3,000. The increase in volume ($36.35B) suggests strong capital rotation, possibly due to pre-spot ETF accumulation in the U.S. Vitalik Buterin has pointed out in his latest blog that the arrival of verkle trees and proto-danksharding will reduce congestion and costs.
ETH remains the standard for smart contracts, but DApp competition from Solana and TON is a growing threat.
